  1. Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) review/What is Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) ?

Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) is a B vitamin-like cofactor that occurs naturally in both the diet and in mammalian tissue. Decades of years of research has shown that PQQ (pyrroloquinoline quinone) is an important antioxidant, promotes the creation of new mitochondria, along with supporting heart health and cognitive function.

Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) cannot be synthesized by the human, so it must be obtained through a wide variety of foods, especially from some plant food , vegetable and fruits ,such as soybeans, parsley, green pepper , rape blossoms, Green tea and Kiwi fruits .

  1. Pyrroloquinoline quinone (PQQ) Benefits /Functions :

PQQ actually stimulates mitochondrial biogenesis – the growth of fresh, new mitochondria. While mitochondria generates energy within all the body’s living cells and supply the power and energy required for a healthy life span.  The heart and brain both have high energy demands and are dense with mitochondria.

PQQ can be an effective intervention for Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Both diseases are triggered by an accumulation of abnormal proteins which initiate a cascade of oxidative damage that results in brain cell death. Studies have revealed that PQQ helps the body to:

  • Prevent development of the protein alpha-synuclein, which is associated with Parkinson’s disease.
  • Protect nerve cells from the oxidizing ravages of the amyloid-beta protein linked with Alzheimer’s disease.

Also , many studies suggest that two ingredients – PQQ and Alpha GPC – promote neurological health and support improved memory retention and mental acuity.

PQQ also has an antioxidant effect.  Free radicals (oxidants) can cause damage to cells, tissues and organs, leading to a number of chronic diseases including cancer, heart disease, diabetes. Research is indicating that PQQ can be considered a super antioxidant because it is far more stable than most other antioxidants.  It’s been found to be 175 times more efficient than epicatechin, 200 times more efficient than quercetin, and 5,000 times more efficient than vitamin C

PQQ may also reduce the damage resulting from the heart attack, in addition to protecting the heart muscle against severe oxidative stress by enhancing and preserving mitochondrial function.
